Wigginton Pre-school promotes a healthy lifestyle and a high standard of hygiene in its day-to-day work with children and adults. The safety of young children is of paramount importance. In order to ensure the safety of both children and adults. Snack time is an important part of our day at Wigginton Pre-School. It is a social occasion and it provides an opportunity for the children to learn a little about healthy eating and table manners, what they like and dislike and the foods of other cultures. Wigginton Pre-school complies with the guidance set by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checking service to help assess the suitability of applicants for positions of trust within the setting, we comply fully with the code of practice regarding the correct handling, use, storage, retention and disposal of certificates and certificate information. All staff receive handbooks with guidance, duties and roles. Staff are encouraged to extend their practice by the way of in-house training or outside agencies.

Wigginton Preschool provide a range of activities and enhancements to encourage children to explore their surroundings and to promote their own knowledge to what they already know. All staff members are key workers who will support their understanding and provide guidance for children to become active learners.
